LOCAL GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER INFORMATION NLS 2.1 SSS '4.1 The Lines of Equal Depth Map published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control does not illustrate the groundwater depth on their maps in the Tracy area. As referenced, two test borings were drilled to the water table to determine depth to the standing water and to sample groundwater for analysis. An electronic water'level meter was used to measure the depth of standing water upgradient to the site at 7.5 ft below ground surface (bgs) and 9.5 ft bgs in the downgradient boring. Therefore, the"average".groundwater depth over the entire area can be considered to be 8.5 ft bgs. /The Lines of Equal Elevation Map also does not illustrate the groundwater elevation and therefore the directional flow under the subject property. It is generally accepted that groundwater flows with the topography of the land surface, and it is generally accepted that the groundwater in this locale is in a northeast direction toward the San Joaquin River.
