CHRONOLOGY
7474 ELEVENTH STREET, TRACY
06/02/88 A 550 gallon UST that had contained both regular and diesel gas and a
1000 gallon UST that had contained regular gas were removed. The
1000 gallon UST had 2 holes in it. There was odor and discoloration to
the soil in the UST excavation. A grab water sample and two soil
samples from 9 feet below grade were collected (one sample from below
each UST). All sample results evidenced gasoline contamination. A URF
was completed.
06/24/88 Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge completed.
08/19/88 Site was placed on PHS/EHD contaminated site data base.
03/07/94 Letter to responsible party that further investigation is required.
03/15/95 Notice of Responsibility sent to responsible party with directive to submit
work plan by May 15, 1995.
07/25/95 Three monitoring wells installed, all screened from 5 to 20 feet below
ground surface.
11/13/95 Report of monitoring well installation and groundwater monitoring. Soil
samples only from 6.5 feet in each well. Results were non detect. PID
readings indicate soil contamination at 9 feet below grade. Low levels of
groundwater contamination evidenced.
06/04/96 PHS/EHD directive to further investigate the site.
01/13/97 Quarterly report - monitoring wells have been sampled three times.
Drinking water well (located 40 feet from the former UST location) at site
was sampled 12/6/96 and the analytical results were non detect.
04/25/97 Quarterly monitoring report of samples collected 3/28/97.
10/16/97 Monitoring well MW 101 installed with screen interval from 26 to 28.5 feet
below grade. Total depth of well was 40 feet.
10/17/97 Monitoring wells 4,5,6,7 installed, all screened from 5 to 20 feet below
grade. No evidence of contamination.
12/22/97 Report of Soil and Groundwater Investigation shows greatest soil
contamination from 5 to 15 feet below grade. All monitoring wells and the
drinking water well were sampled. No impact to the drinking water well.
Low levels of contamination in MW3 and MW101.
