01 July 2016
AGE Project No. 15-3403
type for the subject property as caypay clay, 0 to 2 percent slopes (#107). The caypay
clay has been denoted as shallow to 60 inches deep and percolates slowly. Permeability
is slow in caypay clay and the soil has a high shrink-swell potential. Caypay clay soil
typically has the same chemical properties between 0-60 inches bsg. The pH level ranges
between 6.6 - 7.3 units with a salinity of less than 2.0.
9.2. MASS TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF UNDERLYING SITE SOILS
This shallow well-drained rich soil has a high available water-holding capacity.
Additionally, three feet deep septic leach pits should be installed at the ends of the septic
leach filed lines. The natural fertility of this soil lends it very well to sustainable farming
practices. Permeability is slow, available water capacity is high and the shrink-swell
potential is high. Septic leech fields should have an increased absorption field to
overcome the slow permeability.
10.0. DESCRIPTION OF LOCAL GROUNDWATER
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District's Lines of Equal
Depth to Groundwater Fall 2012 indicates the depth to groundwater is 5 to 10 feet bsg.
Groundwater appears to flow to the northeast in the direction of the San Joaquin River.
AGE performed a groundwater query on the California Department of Water Resources
(CDWR) Internet site, http://well.water.ca.gov. Based on the CDWR the current depth to
groundwater surrounding (within one mile) the subject property was 10 feet bsg. Based
upon a record review conducted at EHD by an AGE representative depth to water was
indicated on well permits for the surrounding area to be at 10 feet bsg. The wells on the
adjacent properties were sealed to a depth of 50 feet at most south Borba Road permitted
properties.
10.1. EXISTING OR POTENTIAL GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION
The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is agricultural in nature.
There are potential groundwater contamination issues associated with agricultural uses
and septic systems. A review of the DTSC Envirostor/Geotracker Database revealed one
LUST site within a two-mile radius of the site. The site has been closed for more than 10
years and is located more than one-mile from the subject parcel.
10.2. CURRENT AND FUTURE USE OF GROUNDWATER AT THE SITE
The newly installed water supply well conforms to DWR and EHD standard and will be
used to supply the domestic (including the proposed multi use buildings) uses at the
property
Advanced Gec,Enviconmen[al,Inc.
