j .
RECOMMENDED MITIGATION'MEASURES
This section presents a list of recommended mitigation measures identified based on the analysis results
presented in this report. The "Mitigation Matrix" shown in Table 15 summarizes study intersection
operations without and with the recommended intersection mitigation measures. All level-of-service outputs
are included in the Appendix.
EXIST NG CONDITIONS
Intersections
S.R.881S.R.12/Jack Tone Road intersection-is currently operating at unsignalized PM peak hour LOS "E"
conditions and the intersection also currently meets Caltrans peak-hour-volume Warrant-11 (Rural Areas)
based upon existing PM peak hour traffic demand. Based upon both capacity and safety concerns, it is
recommended that a traffic signal be installed at this intersection under existing conditions. With the
installation of a traffic signal at this intersection, existing AM and PM peak hour LOS "A" operating
conditions are projected.
S.R.881S.R.12/Brandt Road intersection - is currently operating at unsignalized PM peak hour LOS "F"
conditions. However, the intersection does not currently meet Caltrans peak-hour-volume Warrant-11
(Rural Areas)either during the AM peak hour or during the PM peak hour. As such, signalization of this
intersection is not found needed under existing conditions. However, for both capacity and safety reasons,
it is recommended that this intersection be monitored for traffic growth through the build-out of the study
area. If a traffic signal were to be installed at this intersection under existing conditions,AM and PM peak
hour LOS "A" operating conditions are projected.
No other intersection mitigation measures are found necessary under'Existing conditions.
Roadway Segments
All study roadway segments are also currently operating at acceptable daily levels-of-service. No
mitigation measures are found necessary under existing conditions.
EXMW4G PLUS APPROVED PROJECTS CONDmoNs
Intersections
S.R.881S.R.12/Jack Tone Road intersection - The installation of a traffic signal at this intersection as
recommended under Existing conditions is projected to provide sufficient capacity to accommodate traffic
demands under "Existing plus Approved Projects" conditions. With installation of a traffic signal under
"Existing Plus Approved Projects" conditions, AM and PM peak hour LOS " "
operating conditions are
projected.
Lockeford Oaks Subdivision Traffic Impact Study Page 25
San Joaquin County R40MOO2.DOC125-6450-14
