The <br /> Department of Public Works will provide storm drainage services for the project. <br /> Department of Transportation <br /> Caltrans submitted a letter dated January 10, 2002. Public Works is reviewing those <br /> comments and may revise its letter of January 4, 2002. <br /> Air Pollution <br /> In the letter dated December 27, 2001, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control <br /> District (SJVAPCD) recommended that an Environmental Impact Report be prepared for <br /> the project. The Community Development Department has contacted the District to <br /> determine if the previously prepared EIR (ER-90-3) addressed its concerns. The <br /> SJVAPCD stated in a memo dated January 15, 2002, that the air quality impacts from <br /> this project have been identified in previous documents (EIR). The SJVAPCD also <br /> stated that the construction phase of this project can generate emissions from the <br /> movement of soil, use of heavy equipment, bulk materials handling, asphalt paving and <br /> other related activities and will be subject to the regulations mentioned in the memo. In a <br /> telephone conversation, the SJVAPCD said (1115102, 9:00 am)that on May 15, 2002, <br /> dust regulations will become more restrictive than today's standards.
