VEGETATION AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES E.1 Potentially Significant Impact: Removal of 326 oak trees in Blue Oak Savanna and removal or disturbance of 310 oaks in 9 acres of Blue Oak Woodland. r Finding: i� Changes or alterations have been required in or incorporated into the project tli�at avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effects as identified in the Final EIR. ip Statement of Fact: This impact will be reduced by the following: i • Obtain a tree management permit pursuant to Section 9-1505.3 of the Development Title. • Avoid or reduce loss of Blue Oak Woodland by excluding the 9 acres of Blue Oak Woodland from the excavation area. Compensate for the loss of Native Oak and Heritage Oak trees pursuant tol Section 9- 1505.4 of the Development Title. These guidelines require that each heritage oak tree removed be replaced with at least five trees or acorns and that each native oak tree removed be replaced with at least 3 trees or acorns. Based on these requirements, KRC Aggregate will be required to plant 1282 to 2460 blue oak trees or acorns over the 20- to 25-year term of the project, depending on the extent of impacts on the blue oak woodlands.
