April 21, 2006 <br /> NOA Project Number: E06022A <br /> A single-family residence and barn were located on the east side of the property. A flammable liquids <br /> dispenser tank was observed near the residence, and the door of the barn was labeled to indicate that <br /> poisons are stored inside. Oil staining was observed on the dirt driveway adjacent to the barn, and a <br /> strong odor of oil could be smelled in the area. <br /> l <br /> A large barn with agricultural equipment storage was observed at the southeast corner of the property. <br /> One above-ground fuel storage tank was observed within the barn. Though the tank was located wi <br /> concrete secondary containment,fuel-saturated soilcould be seen outside of the secondary containment <br /> are <br /> a.�Ru ting metal equipment and appliances,.at least one inoperable vehicle,approximate 30-l'res, <br /> at 1, st 15 p Bally-full drums,and miscellaneous other debris wdrum <br /> observed in the vicinity of the barn. <br /> Oils g was observed in the main drum storage area. One additional leaking um was located <br /> adjacent.to the small shed in which the agricultural well was located. Empty chemical drums were <br />} <br /> observed to be stored in a fenced enclosure next to the spray material storage shed. <br /> A loading area was observed near the center of the southern half of the property. Three five-gallon <br /> FJbuckets of waste oil were observed in the area. One agricultural well was observed near the loading <br /> area, and two additional agricultural wells were observed on field roads crossing the property. Oil <br /> staining was observed around the casing of one well. A large burn pile with in debris was observed <br /> on the western side of the property. A square cleared area presumably used for turning large equipment <br /> } was also observed on the western side of the property;the majority of the area was covered in water at <br /> the time of the site visit. Two piles of wood were observed near the northeast corner of the property. <br /> i <br /> A total of 11 pole-mounted transformers were observed on the subject property. All the transformers <br /> were gray, appeared relatively new, and were not labeled with blue PCB-free stickers. <br /> Surrounding land was surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance.
