INTRODUCTION <br /> Our office was-contracted-by Mr: Ken Kjeldson'of Kjeldsen Sinnock &Neudeck Inc., to <br /> conduct a soil suitability/nitrate loading study for a proposed lot line adjustment involving four <br /> (4)parcels Jocated along,West California Avenue and El Rancho.Road, Tracy,'California(Plate <br /> 1). The assessors parcel numbers-for the project site are 213-180-09, 10, 15, 16. . <br /> The soil suitability/nitrate Ioading study was conducted to determine,if thesoils are <br /> suitable for the use of a septic-9ystem-and to estimate whether the proposed project will impact' <br /> p p J <br /> ground-Water quality: The study was performed according.to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> '1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development, Major elements of the field work included- <br /> four(4) soil profile borings and four(4) in-situ.percolation tests, required by San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services for final approval of the lot line adjustment. <br />' In addition to conducting f . . <br /> . g the field'work, a review of published soil Information;geologic <br /> maps;-and available ground water information was reviewed to determine the suitability of soils. <br /> F'f Due to the County's concern with nitrate contamination of shallow ground water in the area; a <br /> nitrate loading balance was an additional requirement for project.approval. The nitrate loading <br /> study was conducted to estimate the potential impact of leaching nitrates from the septic system <br />.F. <br /> into grourid water. This report presents the results of our study: <br /> II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The proposed project will consist of a lot line adjustment'of four(4) existing parcels. <br /> The parcels involved are 213.1.80-09, 10, 15, 16.
