The work plan was prepared by your consulting firm, <br /> Dietz Engineering and Construction, Inc. (DEC), on your behalf for the above-referenced site. <br /> In the work plan, DEC proposed to: <br /> • Locate monitoring well MW-11 that was covered by bituminous macadam during the <br /> widening and re-paving of Chrisman Road; <br /> • Prepare traffic control plans; <br /> • Obtain an encroachment permit issued by the San Joaquin County Department of <br /> Public Works to destroy monitoring wells MW-5, MW-6, MW-8, MW-9, MW-10, MW-11, <br /> MW-13 and MW-19 that are located in the public right-of-way. (Please note that the <br /> EHD does not issue encroachment permits.) <br /> • Obtain well closure permits from the EHD; <br /> • Notify the EHD prior to the fieldwork so that the EHD staff can schedule well <br /> destruction inspections; <br /> • Remove ground surface covered in bituminous macadam or concrete by diamond <br /> drilling prior to over-drilling the well casings; <br /> • Over-drill to the original total depth of each of the 27 well casings using hollow-stem <br /> augers; <br /> • Temporarily stockpile the well covers, drill cuttings and debris generated by the well <br /> destructions on an industrial plastic at 7500 West Eleventh Street in Tracy prior to <br /> transporting the waste under manifest to Forward Landfill in Manteca, California; <br /> • Grout the well borings with Type II Portland Cement from total depth to ground surface <br /> using a tremie pipe following the removal of the well contents; and <br />
