../ ../
Navarra Property Page 2
7500 West Eleventh Street March 22, 2013
Tracy, California 95376
+ Pave the temporarily patched surface of monitoring wells MW-6, MW-8, MW-9,
MW-10, MW-11 and MW-19 with material void of bituminous macadam to comply with
the requirements of the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works prior to their
inspection.
The EHD approves over-drilling all 27 wells as proposed by DEC with these conditions:
• Notify the EHD at least three weeks prior the scheduled fieldwork so that an inspector
will be available;
• It appears that monitoring well MW-7 was installed in the public right-of-way and, if
so, this well must be included in the encroachment permit issued by the San Joaquin
County Department of Public Works;
• Provide a copy of access agreements for wells installed on private property;
+ Although DEC indicated that the wells would be over-drilled using hollow-stem
augers, no mention was matte as to the diameter of the augers. Two wells, MW-13
and MW-14, were installed using twelve-inch diameter hollow-stem augers; these two
wells must be over-drilled using twelve-inch or larger-diameter augers. The
remaining wells were installed using eight-inch augers and may be over-drilled using
eight-inch or larger-diameter augers; and
• Following the well destructions, a report of findings must be submitted It the EHD
along with a copy of the manifests.
Please submit a copy of the encroachment permit, access agreements, the Well and Boring
Permit Application for the well destructions, Master File Record form and appropriate fees for'
each parcel. The permit fee for the destruction of each well is $125.00, along with a $375.00
Inspection Activity fee per parcel. Since 27 wells currently are installed on four parcels (wells
in the public right-of-way are considered to be on one parcel), a fee of $4,875.00 will be
required for the well destruction permits.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-
9852 or by e-mail at vmccartne s'cehd.com.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
