The EHD approves the proposed boring locations and sampling
methods, but does not believe soil samples need to be submitted for laboratory analysis, the
samples will be useful be ensuring that the water samples are collected from the proper strata.
The groundwater samples need only be analyzed for MTBE to complete the assessment of the
MTBE plume.
To comply with the recent State Water Resources Con#rol'Board Resolution 2009-0049, the '
EHD approves sampling your monitoring wells on the following schedule:
• Semi-annually -- MW-3, MW-4, MW-7, MW-13, MWFP-1, MWFP-2, MWFP-3 and
MW FP-4;
• Annually — MW-2, MW-5, MW-6, MW-10, MW-11, MW-14, MW-17, MW-18, and
MW FP-5;
• Biennially— MW-1, MW-8, MW-9, MW-12, MWA5 and MWA6; and
• Discontinue sampling MW-3A, MW-3B and MW-12A. 1
I
If needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the remediation effort, some wells can be sampled
more frequently if requested with technical justification.
If you have any questions or comments you may contact Nuel Henderson, Engineering
Geologist at (209)468-3436.
Sincerely,
Nuel C.
