In order to use standard
leach lines, the County requires a percolation rate of 60
minutes per inch, or faster, at the 3-foot depth. In order
to use sump pits, the County requires a soil strata with a
percolation rate of 30 minutes per inch, or faster, be
located.
Based on the above criteria, two approximate 3-foot deep,
three approximate 8-foot deep and one approximate 14-foot
deep tests produced passing percolation rates. The following
table presents the percolation rates and depths for each lot
tested. The County approved percolation test sheets are
included with this report.
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS
Depth Percolation Rate
Test/Lot No. feet (mins/inch) _
P-1/Lot 1 8-1/2 15
P-2/Lot 17 8 12
P-3/Lot 25 8-1/2 6
P-4/Lot 11 3-1/2 8-1/2
P-5/Lot 36 3 24
P-6/Lot 18 14 6
We note that prior to final approval for construction, the County
will require a passing percolation test be obtained at each lot.
We will be happy to prepare a proposal for performing the
additional percolation testing.
ITEM C-3:
t "The depth and gradient of the water table;"
s
During our residence surveys between February 27 and March 9,
1992, we .were not able to measure groundwater in the domestic
wells. The regional groundwater depth map published by the
San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District, Plate II, indicates the depth to groundwater in the
site area was approximately 90 to 95 feet in spring 1991.
Based on the groundwater map showing lines of equal elevation
of groundwater, Plate III, we conclude that the main
g gradient radient is in roughly the south-southeast
direction.
Copyright 1992 Kleinfelder, Inc.
