Work Plan for Refined Plume Definition and Management of Floating Product-7500 WIN St., Tracy, CA. Page 19
. 6.0 PROPOSED GROUNDWATER-QUALITY MONITORING IN DOMESTIC
WELLS
. To ensure that groundwater extracted from them is not affected by components of fuel
hydrocarbons, samples will be recovered from the potable water supply wells at the
following addresses:
7500 West Eleventh Street
24195 South Chrisman Road
- 7601 West Eleventh Street
23901 South Chrisman Road*
23950 South Chrisman Road
- Carmelo Business Park
Note:
* The domestic water-supply well at 23901 South Chrisman Road provides
potable water to that property, which is the site of Suburban Propane's Tracy
- facility and to the property at 7501 West Eleventh Street, currently occupied
by Capitol Furniture. However, the manager of Suburban Propane reports that,
due to the generally poor quality of water from that well, none is used for
drinking on that company's property(Dop 2002).
Samples will be recovered from the potable water wells by SJC's State of California
...•. Department of Health Services-certified Water Distribution Operator. SJC provided design
and engineering services for recently installed potable water wells installed at Carmelo
Business Park and 7601 West Eleventh Street. Both of those wells are equipped with
sampling ports that are located at the well head up stream from the check valve and comply
with current San Joaquin County regulations for community potable water supply wells. ''
Samples will be recovered from those wells by use of the sampling ports. In the case of the
- other wells listed above, they will first be inspected to determine whether or not they are
equipped with a properly located sampling port. If they are not, subject to the agreement of
their owners, a sampling port compliant with San Joaquin County's specifications will be
installed before the groundwater in the wells is sampled. Before the samples are taken, the
-V& p mp will be turned on and water will be flushed through the sampling port for a few
minutes. Laboratory supplied glassware will then be completely filled with water from the
sampling port. When full the glassware will be tightly closed, labeled for identification,12 kJ
hours, to STL's laboratory in Pleasanton, California.
Each water sample will be analyzed for the following suite of analytes:
Analyte Method of Analysis
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons EPA Method 50301$015
(quantified as Diesel) with pre-treatment by
EPA Method 3630.
.....
SJC
