Work Plan for Refined Plume Definition and Management of floating Product-7500 W 11th St., Tracy, CA. Page 30
8.0 INVESTIGATION OF EXTENT OF FLOATING PRODUCT
The investigation of the extent of floating product emanating from the 7500 West Eleventh
Street property will be based on an array of existing and proposed groundwater-quality
monitoring wells and five proposed floating product monitoring wells, MWFP-1 through
MWFP-5, which will be arrayed down-gradient from and co-gradient to Monitoring Well
•.,. MW-7 at the locations shown on Figure 9.
8.1 Floating Product Monitoring Well Array
Following is a listing of the existing and proposed groundwater-quality monitoring wells as
well as the proposed purpose-specific LNAPL monitoring wells that will be utilized for
- LNAPL monitoring.
Well Casing Total Purpose
- Number Diameter Depth
MW-13 6 in. 25 ft. This groundwater-quality monitoring well will serve the
*- dual functions of checking for the presence of LNAPL
along the plume axis midway between the point at
which the fuel hydrocarbons were released on the 7500
West Eleventh Street property and Monitoring Well
bVs MW-7 and providing for sampling of groundwater at
L that location when the immediate area is free of floating
product. It will have a 6-in diameter casing so that, if
necessary, this well may also be used to recover
floating product.
MW-7 2 in. 22 ft. This existing monitoring well is located on the axis of
the plume of affected groundwater migrating down-
gradient from the 7500 West Eleventh Street property.
As is detailed in Table 3, LNAPL has been present on
the groundwater in it since 2002.
MWFP-1 0.75 in. 15 ft. This floating product monitoring well is located
0,A between existing groundwater-quality monitoring wells
o k ti .y, e'I MW-6 and MW-7 to explore the western perimeter of
r the area of the subsurface that is currently estimated to
be affected by LNAPL.
MWFP-2 0.75 in. 15 ft. This floating product monitoring well is located to the
I east of MW-7, to explore the eastern perimeter of the
4 area of the subsurface that is currently estimated to be
affected by LNAPL.
MWFP-3 0.75 in. 15 ft. This floating product monitoring well is located along
the axis of the plume of floating product approximately
sic
