+•+ Work Plan for Refined Plume Definition and Management offloating Product-9500 W 111h St., Tracy, CSI. Page 31
a
Well Casing Total Purpose
Number Diameter Depth
MWFP-3 continued
,. 75 ft down-gradient of MW-7. If no LNAPL is present
on the groundwater at that location, the well will assist
... J fit. ti definition of the northern limit of' down-gradient
y'e floating product migration. If LNAPL is present in that well, it will serve to monitor the progress of the
• v' ' proposed floating product remediation program.
MWFP-4 0.75 in. 15 ft. To assist definition of the extent of the plume in that
-- area, this floating product monitoring well is located
l ° some 450 ft down-gradient from the point of release of
fuel hydrocarbons on the 7500 West Eleventh Street
property, a short distance to the west of the area that is
currently estimated to be affected by LNAPL.
. MWFP-5 0.75 in. 15 ft. This floating product monitoring well is also located
some 450 ft down-gradient from the point of release of
fuel hydrocarbons on the 7500 West Eleventh Street
property, but it is positioned a short distance to the east
. of the area that is currently estimated to be affected by
N sd LNAPL.
f f
MW-15 6 in 25 ft. This dual-function monitoring well will serve to check
for the presence of LNAPL along the plume axis
N approximately 450 ft down-gradient from the point of
release of fuel hydrocarbons on the 7500 West Eleventh
Street property. If, at the time of its installation, no
LNAPL is found in the groundwater, the well will serve
its primary function as a groundwater-quality
monitoring well, but will also provide a means to detect
the first arrival of floating product at that down-gradient
location should the plume of LNAPL advance that far.
It will have a 6-in diameter casing so that, if necessary,
this well may also be used to recover floating product.
8.2 Well Drilling and Soil Sampling
Permits for construction of the proposed floating product monitoring wells will be obtained
from the SJCEHD. Where necessary, application will be made to the San Joaquin County
+" Department of Public Works (SJCDPW) for encroachment permits to install wells in the
public highways. Bonds to ensure proper maintenance of such wells will also be secured.
` The well borings will be advanced using hydraulic push boring technology. The drill pipe
-► and cutting head will be 2 in. in _r, The hydraulic push boring equipment will be
Na
sic
