(Canonie) is pleased to present you with this proposal- <br /> and estimated budget to perform a subsurface investigation at the subject site. The purpose of <br /> this investigation is to determine if the subsurface has been impacted by the former <br /> underground storage tanks as required by San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> (SJCPHS). Scope of work will include reviewing SJCPHS files, preparing workplan, <br /> obtaining permits, drilling three soil borings and installing monitoring wells in the borings, <br /> soil and groundwater sampling, preparing a summary report, and performing three rounds of <br /> quarterly monitoring, sampling, and reporting. The following is a description of tasks that <br /> will be performed and the corresponding estimated budget is included in Attachment 1. <br /> Task 1: File Review, Workplan Preparation Permitting and Scheduling <br /> This task includes reviewing SJCPHS files.for background information, preparing a workplan <br /> for SJCPHS's review and approval, preparing a site safety plan, obtaining necessary permits <br /> from SJCPHS, scheduling field personnel and equipment, locating underground utilities, and <br /> performing any other necessary field preparation and job startup activities. <br /> Task 2: Installation of Three Groundwater Monitoring Wells <br /> This task includes mobilization to the site, advancing three soil borings and completing them <br /> as monitoring wells, and collecting soil samples. <br /> Three borings will be advanced to depths of approximately 30 feet using 10-inch O.D. hollow <br /> stem augers. Drilling will be conducted by a State-licensed (C57) drilling company. A field <br /> geologist will be present to log all drill cuttings and soil samples.
