Miller: <br /> The California State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has determined that <br /> the above-referenced site has met the criteria specified in the State Water Board's Low Threat <br /> Underground Storage Tank Case Closure Policy (Lovx-thneatClosure Po|iun), and has notified <br /> appropriate agencies and recipients of the pending osya dnauno and of their opportunity to <br /> submit comments orquestions regarding the pending closure. The sixty-day public participation <br /> period ended 1&June 2014. <br /> On 11 July 2014, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)was notified <br /> by Pmt Cullen, P(3. of the State Water Bumrd, that the Final Closure Order had been issued by <br /> the State Water Board on7April 2014. Once this has occurred, the monitoring and remediation <br /> xveUo associated with this site nnuod be destroyed within 180 days of date of the Final Closure <br /> Order in order for the responsible party to be eligible for reimbursement from the State Water <br /> Board Cleanup Fund. <br /> To expedite the process of closing this site, the EHD has omitted the need to submit a well <br /> destruction work plan, in place of the work plan, the EHD directs that a well destruction permit <br /> application be submitted to this agency that includes the proposed method to destroy each well. <br /> The EHD will review the well destruction proposal submitted on the permit app|icmUon/o and if <br /> the proposed well destruction method does not meet the San Joaquin County Well Standards, <br /> the permit appUcatimn/a will be revised by the EHD and the pornnitte will be iooued, contingent <br /> upon the modifications made onthe permit application bvthe EHD.
