Depth-to-water readings will be used to determine the groundwater elevation and groundwater
flow direction beneath the project site. Wells will be monitored for free product. Water
samples will then be collected from each well after purging a minimum of three well volumes
(casing and sandpack). The samples will be sent using chain-of-custody record to a State-
certified laboratory analysis of TPHg and BTEX using EPA methods 8015/8020. If other
analyses are required these would be performed at an additional charge. Samples will be
analyzed using standard turn-around-time. Purge water from the wells will be contained on-
site in 55-gallon DOT approved drums pending laboratory analysis. If sample results indicate
non detectable levels of petroleum hydrocarbons, discharge to the ground surface is proposed.
This proposal and cost estimate does not provide for any other purge water disposal. After
laboratory results are received a report will be prepared containing results of the monitoring
and sampling activities. A draft copy will be prepared and submitted to the client for review.
After comments are received a final copy will be prepared for the client and appropriate
regulatory agencies.
All work described in this proposal will be performed under the direction of a California
Registered Geologist or Professional Engineer.
Our total estimated budget for the proposed activities is $13,562. The attached estimated
budget summarizes the cost for the proposed work. Any additional work performed that is not
described in the proposal or estimated budget will be treated as a separate phase of work and
may require a separate proposal and estimated budget. If the terms of this proposal are
acceptable to you, please sign both copies of our attached Professional Services Agreement and
return them to our office for further execution. A copy of the fully executed agreement will
be returned to you for your files.
If you have any questions or need additional information please contact John Lane at (209)
838-3507.
Sincerely,
Canonie Environmental Services Corp.
ohn P.
