wildlife habitat, the orchards in the area are as much a disruption
as the proposed homesite would be. The habitat will not be further
disrupted. Also, Mr. Eilers ' home is not very far away from the
subject property. She said her parents are elderly and they want
to give her 3 acres of land. Her father has been in farming all of
his life.
PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED
DISCUSSION: Comm. Jungeblut said that the Sambado family is a farm
family and they are involved in cherries and he felt that the major
portion of the family income would come from the farming operation.
Comm. Holly said that the applicant earns her living from the
farming operation and plans to live on the proposed homesite.
Comm. Rojas said the applicant does not plan to build immediately
but will when the children leave home and that could be several
years in the future. The parcel could be sold by that time.
Comm. Carter said she would be concerned over possible subdivision
of the frontage.
MOTION: Moved, seconded (Jungeblut-Holly) to approve the Negative
Declaration and approve Minor Subdivision Application No. MS-91-46
with the Findings and Conditions of Approval given in the staff
report.
Comms. Rojas, Carter and Morri voted no. Comms. Bozzano and
Gillispie were absent. This motion did not pass and the
application was deemed to be denied.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
PC MINUTES - lb- APR 4 , 1991
