SITE APPROVAL PRE-APPLICATION NO. SA-00-10 OF <br /> SSB JOHN KAMPS. A Site Approval pre-application for a natural gas 1 <br /> cylinder filing and repair business by the addition of a 15, 000 square foot <br /> production building, a 10,000 square foot distribution building, and a <br /> 1,500 square foot office and storage building. Located on the east side <br /> corner of Moffatt Blvd. 200' north of Woodward Avenue, south of <br /> Manteca(APN 243-200-0; Address 9853 E. Moffatt Blvd.). <br /> Jim Van Buren, Senior Planner; Jerry Oliver, Manager of the Engineering Dept. for Kamps <br /> Pro ane/Blue Magic; Kermit Darrow, Building Division; Jerry Herzick, Building Division; <br /> P g <br /> Steve Dalton, Fire Prevention; were present for this item. <br /> Mr. Van Buren presented the project. He said that there were General Plan and Zoning issues to <br /> discuss, but first he thought Fire and Building departments issues should be discussed. <br /> .Mr. Oliver asked about the building code classification. Mr. Dalton said the occupancy <br /> classification of the buildings would be H-2 under the provisions of the UBC and would have to <br /> have fire sprinklers installed. Mr. Dalton also said that propane is a highly explosive in nature' <br /> and the separation from property lines would be 875 (barricaded) per table 3F of the UBC. <br /> Mr. Oliver said that there are facilities similar to this throughout the country and was going to <br /> investigate the requirements that were placed on those facilities and report back. <br />
