Submit a soil remediation plan by May 15, 1991.
Monitoring well #1 was non-detect on October 30, 1990, however, on January 14, 1991, detectable
concentrations of toluene and xylene were found. Zero lines have not been established,therefore, additional
monitoring wells should be installed to show zero lines. At least one of the monitoring wells should be
installed downgradient (northwest) of the former tank location.
On site there are two production wells. The influence on hydraulic gradient should be explored. If both ;
of these wells are not being used, one should be abandoned or destroyed under PHS/EHD permit. j
Leach line locations should be identified since they may provide a conduit through which contamination may
travel.
If you have any questions contact Mary Meays, EHS, at (209) 468-3441. }
Jog* Khanna, M.P.H.
Health Offi r
rie A.
