Box 3171
Modesto, CA 95353
RE: Genstar Western IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 1393
Stone Products
8181 W. Eleventh St.
Tracy, CA
We have completed our review of the Problem Assessment Report dated
January 24, 1990, and the Addendum dated June 22, 1990. Our
comments are as follows:
1. Data from the one mile radius well survey was not
included in the Report. (Reference to Preliminary Report
#2 .8) In addition to the private wells surrounding the
facility, two production wells are currently in use at
this site. Data compiled should indicate the depths of
the screened intervals, if available, and the gallons per
minute pump rates.
2 . Our records indicate the facility is not connected to the
municipal sewer service. No destruction permits have
been issued to date. ' (Reference to Preliminary Report
#2 . 9)
3 . Pursuant to Section 2652 (d) of the Underground Storage
Tank Regulations (California Administrative Code, Title
23, Subchapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be
submitted to Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division and Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board (CVRWQCB) until the investigation and
cleanup of the site is deemed adequate. The report is to
show the:
-status of investigation and cleanup activities
including the results of all investigations
completed to date;
-proposed continuing or next phase of investigation;
-method of cleanup proposed or implemented,
schedules for the completion of the investigation
of the site and remediation;
-monitoring well data including groundwater
elevation, pH, conductivity, gradient;
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
