I
3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above and below ground
sources of contamination identified at the project site: Presently, there are no underground ,
storage tanks on the property and visual inspection did not produce any evidence of buried
containers, as well as no odors that would be associated with buried chemical tanks. The subject
parcel does include an existing homesite well and septic system, as previously stated. There is
P: an existing propane tank near the home. (See Tentative map).
3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources
' of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Past off-site potential for
i contamination is low. Other sources of potential contamination is the surrounding vineyards and
the chemicals used in their farming operation. There is no knowledge of below ground sources )
? of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may impact the project site.
E
j 3.5 Description of all present off-site potential and/or known above and below ground
i. sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Present off-site potential
1' for contamination is low. Other sources of potential contamination is the surrounding vineyards
E and the chemicals used in their farming operation. There is no knowledge of below ground
sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
4.1 Evaluation of each potential and/or known source of contamination identified for any
real and/or potential threat to human health and the.environment: The depth to ground
water in this area is approximately 125 feet. Due to this depth, any pesticides, insecticides, and k
fertilizers used on the property in the past or present would have a minimal impact to the ground
water. The use of approved best management practices for the containment of soil or any "y
contaminates by straw waddles around the construction site and other practices to reduce the
introduction of any dirt or contaminates into the storm runoff system will be required at the time j
of any future construction per County Building Department.
1
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION:
5.1 Discussion of the above evaluation: The aforementioned farming practices creates the only
' potential for contamination. There is a natural drainage swale through the southwest corner of F 1
the subject parcel. The potential for contamination would be low, and no mitigation measures
# . are recommended at this time.
L1
F,
2 i
cA06101Contamination Report 022706
