• SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Rafael Viramontes to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the property located at 6425 East Dougherty Road, <br /> Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into a homesite parcel and a <br /> designated remainder (Plate 2). Randy Roget, the owner of the site, plans to keep the <br /> homesite parcel. Mr. Viramontes, the buyer, indicated that he plans to plant vineyard on <br /> • the designated remainder (personal communication, August 4, 2017). <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site consists of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 017-140-47, approximately 40 <br /> acres in size. It is located at 6425 East Dougherty Road, Acampo, California. The Site <br /> is an open agricultural field with a house, barn, and garage. A domestic well and an <br /> irrigation well provide water to the Site (Plate 3). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 65 feet above mean sea level (Plate 4). The Site is relatively flat. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> • <br /> LOGE 1721 Page 1 <br />
