Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> Two septic systems currently exist on the Site. One system serves the southern <br /> residence, and the other serves the restroom building, according to the site plan <br /> prepared by Rodrigo Mendez (Plate 2). <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> According to the proposed site plan, the future prayer hall will utilize a new septic <br /> system to serve its restroom. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permits were searched <br /> for the Site address. One ' permit, dated February 2012, was found. The permit <br /> was for the installation of(a new s ptic system to serve a detached bathroom; a 2,000- 0,113.3, <br /> gallon tank, two 75-foot le es, and two 25-foot deep by 3-foot diameter seepage <br /> pits were specified. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that <br /> ` exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery from <br /> GoogleEarthTM was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have one <br /> septic system. Using this method, we estimated that at least 68 septic systems per <br /> square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> ( J l The general area consists of agricultural and rural residential land. A nursery is located <br /> approximately 150 feet to the north. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the <br /> area appear to utilize leach lines and seepage pits.
