The project
proposes development of a construction office and yard, on 1.75 acres. The project is
located on the west side of EI Dorado Street, adjacent to French Camp Slough, in.
4 San Joaquin County.
` Wildlife habitat resources consist of a mixture of agricultural, residential, and
commercial land uses. Significant resources of the project include French Camp
Slough which forms the project's west boundary. DFG files contain records of active
Swainson's hawk (Buteo swainsom) nests within the project vicinity.
If the following measures are made conditions of project approval, the DFG
s would concur with a Finding for a Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to CEQA
Guidelines.
1. A no-development buffer should be established along French Camp
Slough to protect the existing riparian habitat. The buffer should extend
'I 100 feet beyond the bank of French Camp Slough. The buffer should
extend beyond this recommended distance if necessary to protect any C
on-site riparian or wetland habitat. Additionally, the following restriction
should apply to the buffer area: F
a. No fill should be placed within the buffer either during or
after construction.
I
b. Grading is prohibited within buffer.
C, All vegetation within buffer is to be protected during
construction.
` I
i
I
Ii
1
