Approve the Negative Declaration; <br /> 2. Approve a one-year extension for Use Permit Application No. UP-98-6. <br /> r <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On August 13, 1998, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and denied the applicant's request <br /> for a private slaughterhouse. Mr. Guerrero appealed the denial of the request to the Board of <br /> Supervisors. On September 22, 1998,the Board of Supervisors continued the public hearing to October <br /> 27, 1998,with the hearing open. <br /> The Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on October 27, 1998, in which they directed that: (1) <br /> the matter be referred back to the Planning Commission to impose conditions; (2)the applicant submit a <br /> Site Plan within 120 days; and (3) after Planning Commission's action the matter be sent back to the <br /> Board of Supervisors for consideration. <br /> On February 24, 1999, anew Site Plan was submitted. The Planning Commission heard this item on <br /> May 6, 1999, reviewed the application and forwarded the matter to the Board of Supervisors. On June 8, <br /> 1999, the Board of Supervisors granted the appeal and approved Mr. Guerrero's application. On <br /> December 6, 2001, Mr. Guerrero applied for a Time Extension. <br /> SOS LETTER PAGE 1 <br />
