"From page 112" "state the basis of the a eal"
"EXHIBIT `A"'
I Ramon Guerrero would like to appeal the Planning Commission denial of
a "Use Permit" to establish a goo foot private slaughterhouse on my
property located at 28600 N Elliott Road, Gait, CA.
I am appealing the decision of the Planning Commission to deny a use
permit for a slaughter house at 28600 N Elliott Rd., Galt, CA., on the basis
that a slaughter house in an Agricultural Processing — Food Manufacturing
zone is consistent with the AIG General Plan designation and in turn may
be conditionally permitted with a Use Permit in the AIG Zone.
I therefore would like to refer you to the "Staff Report' submitted to the
Planning Commission on 8113198, in which Staff stated as follows:
1. "The proposed use is consistent with the goals, policies,
standards, and maps of the General Plan and any applicable
Master Plan, Specific Plan, and Special Purpose Plan, and any
other applicable plan adopted by the County.
This finding can be made because Agricultural Processing -
Food Manufacturing is consistent with the AIG General
Plan designation and in turn may be conditionally permitted
with a Use Permit in the A-G Zone. The keeping and raising
of the various animals may also be permitted with a Use
Permit in the A-G zone."
2. "Adequate utilities, roadway improvements, sanitation, water
supply, drainage, and other necessary facilities have been
provided, and the proposed improvements are properly related
to existing and proposed roadways.
This finding can be made because the site can
accommodate a well and septic system."
3. "The site is physically suitable for the type of development
and for the intensity of development.
This finding can be made because the plan shows that
there is sufficient area for the new facilities, parking, and
circulation, in compliance with County standards."
-10-
