Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment
Neighborhood G
Page 11
6.2 INTERVIEW WITH SITE MANAGER
The previous owner and current Site Manager, Mr. Frank Arnaudo of B&B Arnaudo, was interviewed in
person on September 25, 2001, during a Site visit. Mr. Arnaudo stated that he has used the property for
farming since 1968 and it was used for farming prior to his ownership. Alfalfa, sugar beets, corn, wheat,
and tomatoes (which he stopped growing in 1983)have been grown at the Site.
A transaction screen questionnaire and a supplemental agricultural questionnaire were given to him to
review and sign at the Site visit. The questionnaires are located in Appendix D. The questionnaires
revealed the following:
1. The Site is used for agricultural purposes.
2. Adjoining properties are used for agricultural purposes.
3. Pesticides have been applied according to application standards and Pesticide Use Reports were
submitted to the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office.
6.3 INTERVIEW WITH OCCUPANTS
There are currently no occupants at the Site.
6.4 INTERVIEW WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS
No local government officials were interviewed.
1 6.5 INTERVIEWS WITH OTHERS
No other individuals were interviewed.
7.0 ADDITIONAL SERVICES
No additional services were requested.
8.0 FINDINGS
The Site is currently used for agricultural purposes. Reconnaissance revealed no suspect environmental
conditions at the Site or any nearby properties. The review of ASTM-specified environmental records
identified one location within the specified search radii. Trimark Communities, located about 1,600 feet
to the northeast of the Site, was identified by the Hazardous Waste Information System (HAZNET)
database. Review of San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS-
EHD) and San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) records produced no further
information regarding the location. Additionally, there are no records on file with PHS-EHD or OES for
the Site or any other adjoining properties. Pesticide Use Reports provided by the San Joaquin County
Agricultural Commissioner's Office revealed that pesticides have been used on the Site for the last five
years. An interview with the site manager also indicated the use of pesticides for agricultural purposes at
the Site.
9.0 OPINION
No historical recognized environmental conditions or recognized environmental conditions were
identified for the Site. Condor identified one de minimis condition at the Site:
A
IL CONDOR
