CProject Narrative
(D1J010146)
On September 29, 2001, the STL Denver laboratory received seven samples from
Condor Earth Technology. This report presents the analytical results as well as
supporting information to aid in the evaluation and interpretation of the data. The
samples were received at a temperature of 3.8°C in good condition. The laboratory
composited several samples prior to analysis.
With the exception of the below mentioned anomalies, standard analytical protocols
were followed in the analysis of the samples. All laboratory QC samples analyzed in
conjunction with the samples in this project were within established control limits.
The test results shown in this report meet all requirements of NELAC, and any
exceptions are noted below. This report shall not be reproduced, except in full, without
written permission from the laboratory.
This report includes reporting limits (RLs) less than STL Denver's standard reporting
limit. The reported sample results and associated reporting limits are being used
specifically to meet the needs of this project. Note that data are not normally reported
to these levels without qualification because they are inherently less reliable and
/ potentially less defensible than required by the latest industry standards.
l Pesticides, SW846 8081A
In the analysis of samples DlJ010146-001 for4,4'-DDE, DlJ010146-002 for endrin and
endrin aldehyde, D1J010146-003 for endrin, DlJ010146-004 for 4,4'-DDE, and
DlJ010146-005 for 4,4'-DDE and 4,4'-DDT there was a difference greater than 40%
between the primary and confirmation column results. The lower results are reported
and the associated sample data are flagged "COL".
A continuing calibration verification (CCV) associated with samples DlJ010146-001
and 002 demonstrated percent differences greater than 15% for b-BHC, 4,4'-DDD,
kepone, endrin aldehyde, 4,4'-DDT, and methoxychlor. The average percent difference
of all compounds in the CCV was less than 15%; therefore the CCV met all criteria for
the method.
A continuing calibration verification (CCV) associated with samples D1J010146-003,
004, and 005 demonstrated percent differences greater than 15% for b-BHC, 4,4'-DDD,
kepone, endrin aldehyde, 4,4'-DDT, and methoxychlor. The average percent difference
of all compounds in the CCV was less than 15%; therefore the CCV met all criteria for
the method.
2
