Due to a computer error, the continuing calibration for toxaphene was not analyzed.
There were two injections of the individual component pesticide mix run and both were
acceptable. After the error was discovered, the toxaphene standard was analyzed and
was in control. The toxaphene continuing calibration was run within twelve hours.
The MS/MSD associated with QC batch #1283161 was performed on an unrelated
sample. The MS/MSD performed on sample D1J010146-003 is in control for all
recoveries and RPDs.
Phosphated Pesticides, SW846 8141A
The method blank contained azinphos methyl, coumaphos, and dimethoate at
concentrations greater than the reporting limit. The samples were re-extracted outside
hold times. The method blank associated with the re-extraction had merphos detected
at a concentration below the reporting limit, but greater than the method detection limit.
The LCS associated with QC batch #1282272 demonstrated recoveries below the
control limits for several compounds. The associated samples were re-extracted. The
LCS associated with the re-extracted samples in QC batch 1291361 is in control.
The MS/MSDs were all performed on an unrelated sample.
The surrogate recoveries in samples DlJ010146-006 and 007 were outside the control
limits. The samples were re-extracted and the recoveries are in control. The data from
both analyses have been reported.
Herbicides, SW846 Method 8151A
In the analysis of sample DlJ010146-001 MCPP there was a difference greater than
40% between the primary and confirmation column results. The lower results are
reported and the associated sample data are flagged "COL".
The MS/MSD was performed on an unrelated sample.
A continuing calibration verification (CCV) associated with samples D1J010146-002,
003, and 004 demonstrated percent differences greater than 15% for MCPP and
dichlorprop. The average percent difference of all compounds in the CCV was less than
15%; therefore the CCV met all criteria for the method.
3
