Provide estimates of wastewater quality based on samples of
similar operations or published data. Provide a chemical characterization of the
wastewater and cooling water quality, includingiochemical oxygen demand, total
suspended solids,total dissolved solids,nitrogenous compounds,and volatile organic
chemicals.
/5. provide loading rate calculations for the process wastewater septic tank and describe how
the treatment is adequate to protect groundwater quality from degradation. Because the
facility is proposing to discharge chocolate manufacturing wastewater to the septic tank,
additional treatment will be required. If appropriate, provide a description of the revised
pretreatment system and septic tank/leach linelseepage pit construction and an explanation
of how the wastewater disposal is protective of groundwater quality,
6. Allowing for two feet of freeboard, what is the approximate storage capacity of the
wastewater pond(s)? Provide a water balance that evaluates the containment structures
ability to provide sufficient capacity on a month-by-month basis. Include monthly
evaporation, precipitation, and irrigation rates as well as monthly discharge volumes.
Rtiinfall shall be based on the 100-year return period total annual precipitation.
/9. Describe management provisions that will be implemented to prevent the occurrence of
flies, mosquitoes, odor nuisances, and problems such as pond overflows (maintenance
plans, standby pumps or generators, and contingency plans,etc.).
 1
vb+eJapin,.lan I35&sIdtiim718on lohvlal ohplm,Bo ear 111 MgMAlj
