PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> APRIL 15, 1993 <br /> Senior Planner Kerry Sullivan noted that both of the items on the <br /> agenda (SA-93--4 and SA-93-3) would be heard as one agenda item. <br /> This was at the request of the applicant. <br /> 1. SITE APPROVAL , APPLICATION NO. SA-93-4 OF HENRY FOPPIANO AND <br /> ROBERT CHINCHIOLO, ET AL for the addition of cold storage to an <br /> existing apple packing shed to be completed in two phases. The <br /> project site is located on the northwest corner of Jack Tone Road <br /> and Fairchild Lane, northeast of Stockton (Supervisorial District <br /> 4) . <br /> 2. SITE APPROVAL APPLICATION NO. SA-93-3 OF HENRY FOPPIANO (C/O <br /> ROBERT CHINCHIOLO, ET AL) for a cherry packing shed and cold <br /> storage to be completed in two phases. The project site is located <br /> on the west side of Jack Tone Road, 850 feet north of Fairchild <br /> Lane, northeast of Stockton (Supervisorial District 4) . <br /> Associate Planner Loree Goold introduced a staff report into the <br /> record. <br /> Comms. Jungeblut, Carter, Di.michelis, Zunino and Holly disclosed <br /> that they had been contacted by some members of the opposition to <br /> the project. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING OPENED <br /> PROPONENTS: Attorney Joseph Rishwain (4568 Feather River Dr. ) , <br /> representing the applicant, made the following points: <br /> • A certain amount of truck traffic will be lessened because <br /> they will no longer have to shuttle the fruit back and forth <br /> to cold storage. <br /> • The traffic study indicates that the operation will not have <br /> an adverse impact on Fairchild Road. <br /> • Because of modernized equipment, there will be no noise <br /> impact. <br /> • The applicant's present location is inadequate for the <br /> proposed expansion and modernization of the operation. <br /> s The property will be fenced. <br /> Mike Addleman (3578 Rgd Apple Rd. , Cashmere, WA) , said his company <br /> designed, and will build, the facility. Other such facilities that <br /> his company constructed -have proven to be safe and compatible for <br /> the areas in which they were located.
