r # 1 December 2,2005 r NOA Project Number: E0507919 Page 4 i —Parcel sizes, 1.$1 AC(Parcel 1)and 2.68 AC (Parcel 2) Based on the results of the original soil suitability/nitrate loading report,new percolation tests, and new nitrate loading estimates for these two new parcels,we find the two new parcels suitable for the use of conventional septic systems. The result of the nitrate loading calculation indicates no buildup of nitrates in ground water above 10 mg/L-N. The resulting Ne value for Parcel l is 8.2 mg/L-N and for Parcel l is 6.1 mg/L-N. Both are below 10 mga N which is the number of the m&ximum contaminate level for total nitrogen in ground water and the cutoff point for initial screening purposes at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. Conclusions and Recommendations In summary, a satisfactory percoaltion test was achieved on both proposed parcels. No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property to a maxdmun-I depth of 3.5 ` feet. The result of the nitrate loading calculation did not indicate a potential build up of nitrates below the property above 10-mg/L-N. I The results of this addendum are in general agreement with sieve' 1 assumptions and the conclusions presented in the original Chesney Consulting report. The information presented in this addendum report may be relied on for the purposes of the soil suitability and nitrate loading addendum. The project is suitable for development provided our recommendations are followed. Apply 4 loose inches of loose compost or peat in the bottom of the filter bed.
