For a filter bed, the required area is 792 square feet (264*3=792). • Item 5.3 —A copy of the boring log is attached. • Item 5.4 — In general, the moderately-permeable, near-surface sand and sandy silt in the project area yield percolation rates meeting SJCEHD percolation requirements. Based on the percolation test results and soil types encountered, we do not foresee the need for engineered or alternative septic systems. We do not anticipate any geotechnical restrictions on future type, size, or location of any additional leach fields/leach fields with seepage pits, as appropriate, for the subject project. • Item 6.1 — According to Mr. Wright, a lot line adjustment has been performed to include the land immediately south of the masonry wall in the same parcel as the rest of the site. This would mean the septic systems would be on the same parcel as the structures they serve. • Item 6.4 — The percolation test holes were still intact with no significant sloughing or caving noted. No standing water was present in the holes following the 24-hour soak period. The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and proposed development and on the site conditions. It was assumed that the percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area. This completes the scope of work requested.
