The <br /> project consists of creating a new 3.47 acre parcel and a 35.41 acre designated remainder parcel. <br /> The soil suitability/nitrate loading study(SS/NLS)was conducted to determine whether the soils <br /> are suitable for the ufe with a septic system. The study was performed according to the <br /> requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d)of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element <br /> of the field work included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as <br /> ` required by San Joaquin County Public Health Service Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)• <br /> ` In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> ` with a septic system. A nitrate loading balance was performed to estimate the potential impact to <br /> ground water. <br /> This report has been formatted to correspond to the EHD's SS/NLS Requirements Checklist, <br /> dated July 14, 2003. <br />
