1.0 INTRODUCTION
This Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) has been prepared by Live
Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) at the request of Kurt Kautz. The subject of this
investigation is his property located at 21600, 22000, and 22100 East Frazier Road,
Linden, California. The San Joaquin County application number has not yet been
assigned.
1.1 About the SSCR
The SSCR is a document specific to San Joaquin County that aims to identify sources
of on-site or off-site contamination affecting the Site, both current and past. The San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) will review this information as
part of a land use application for the Site and may request action to address any
contamination identified. The SSCR is designed for this specific use. Live Oak
prohibits use of the SSCR by any other parties or for any other purpose, including but
not limited to making business or health risk determinations. The client is encouraged,
however, to seek further information and take steps to remedy any contamination that
may be present on the Site.
Per EHD policy, this report is only valid for six months from its date of completion. The
land use application must also be submitted to San Joaquin County within six months of
the completion of this report for the SSCR to remain valid.
2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION
The Site is an approximately 402-acre property, Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs)
065-230-03, 065-240-02, and 065-240-03, located at 21600, 22000, and 22100 East
Frazier Road, Linden, California. It consists of young vineyard with one irrigation well.
High-voltage power lines cross the Site. A location map and a site map are attached to
this report as Plates 1 and 2 in Appendix 1. Photographs of the Site are attached as
Appendix 2.
2.1 Zoning
The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the
Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This
zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of
commercial agricultural enterprises."
LOGE 1129 Page 1
