4.0 GROUNDWATER INFORMATION SECTION: 4.1 Description of the depth and grad f of roundwater in the general area: The depth to groundwater in this area is approximat y 35 f t according to the map of"Lines of Equal Depth / to Groundwater" published Spring, 199 ,by e San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The gradient dece s from east to west. 4.2 Description/Discussion of any existing and/or potential groundwater contamination issues in the general location of the site: The concerns for groundwater contamination in this area are f-die- ed moderate due to the depths involved. Insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers typically do not i pact groundwater at these depths,however, as with any agricultural area,there is always potential for contamination due to chemicals used in the farming operation. 4.3 Description of location,type and construction of well a c tion ere water sample(s) , were obtained: Water samples were taken from a spigot at the domestic well located at 23557 S. Frederick Ave. on September 8, 2011 by Mike Toy of Dillon&Murphy. 4.4 Description of constituents being tested for in the water sample: The water samples are being tested for nitrates and DBCP. 4.5 Description of how sample was obtained, handled, stored,and transported to the lab: _ The water samples were obtained from the spigot at the well located at 23557 S. Frederick Ave., The samples were taken by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy, and driven directly to Precision Enviro-Tech. The samples-yvere taken and handled in accordance with Precision Enviro-Tech requirements. (See Appenn)ix for test results). 4.6 Complete Chain of Custody document, including printed and signed name of third party sampler, condition of sample and date and time the sample was submitted to the lab. For / Laboratory samplers, complete laboratory report to include—the above noted information: The complete chain of custody document is located in the`Appendix.) 5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION: 5.1 Site map showing location,with dimensions, of the soil profile pit on the parcel: (See Appendix.) 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test holes were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel." 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol: The soils in this area is classified as Bisgani loamy coarse sand, Honcut sandy loam, Tinnin loamy course sand, and Veritas fine sandy loam, as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 2 Y:\DMDOC\2011\1135\SS STUDY 092711 APN 288 13022.doc
