4.0 GROUNDWATER INFORMATION SECTION: <br /> 4.1 Description of the depth and grad f of roundwater in the general area: The depth to <br /> groundwater in this area is approximat y 35 f t according to the map of"Lines of Equal Depth / <br /> to Groundwater" published Spring, 199 ,by e San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District. The gradient dece s from east to west. <br /> 4.2 Description/Discussion of any existing and/or potential groundwater contamination issues <br /> in the general location of the site: The concerns for groundwater contamination in this area are <br /> f-die- ed moderate due to the depths involved. Insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers typically do <br /> not i pact groundwater at these depths,however, as with any agricultural area,there is always <br /> potential for contamination due to chemicals used in the farming operation. <br /> 4.3 Description of location,type and construction of well a c tion ere water sample(s) <br /> , <br /> were obtained: Water samples were taken from a spigot at the domestic well located at <br /> 23557 S. Frederick Ave. on September 8, 2011 by Mike Toy of Dillon&Murphy. <br /> 4.4 Description of constituents being tested for in the water sample: The water samples are <br /> being tested for nitrates and DBCP. <br /> 4.5 Description of how sample was obtained, handled, stored,and transported to the lab: <br /> _ The water samples were obtained from the spigot at the well located at 23557 S. Frederick Ave., <br /> The samples were taken by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy, and driven directly to <br /> Precision Enviro-Tech. The samples-yvere taken and handled in accordance with Precision <br /> Enviro-Tech requirements. (See Appenn)ix for test results). <br /> 4.6 Complete Chain of Custody document, including printed and signed name of third party <br /> sampler, condition of sample and date and time the sample was submitted to the lab. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in <br /> diameter.
