We have reviewed your comments and have provided responses.
Your comments are provided below in bold face type followed by our response.
I request that you help protect my land in the event you issue a permit for the awful project.
Enclosed is a sketch of fencing and berms we would like constructed. This is not asking to (sic)
much in order to save my property which I owned for 70 years.
We share your concern over unwanted discharges of wastewater on your property from the proposed
slaughterhouse. The Waste Discharge Requirements (permit) will prohibit the discharge of any
wastewater beyond the limits of the Discharger's (Stagno) property and will require that the discharge
remain on the Stagno property. However, we cannot specify how the Discharger applies his wastewater
to the cropland, and thus cannot require that ditches, berms, or walls are constructed.
If you believe that our Waste Discharge Requirements do not adequately address your concerns, we urge
you to attend the meeting of the Regional Board on September 17, 1999, commencing at 0900, to present
your position. The meeting will be held at 3443 Routier Road, Sacramento, California 95827-3003.
If oany questions, call me at (916) 255-3035 or Camilla Williams at (916) 255-3112.
ROBERT J.1i/T`^T/f/nEOLI
Senior WRC Engineer
cc: Mr. Mike Huggins, Public Health Services of San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Division,
Stockton
Mr. Chuck Farano, San Joaquin County Community Development Department,Planning Division,
Stockton
Mr. Richard A.
