SAN JOAQUIN FARM BUREAU VEDERATION <br /> MEETING TODAY'S PROBLEMS/PLANNING FOR TOMORROW <br /> January 6, 2000 <br /> San Joaquin County Planning Commission <br /> San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> Development Services Division <br /> 1810 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Dear Planning Commissioners, <br /> The San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation has reviewed application referral UP-99-22, a use permit <br /> application to establish a wholesale meat butchering facility as follows; 1) A 6,700 square foot <br /> abattoir building;2) 2,400 square foot office building; 3) 3,200 square foot AG/General Storage <br /> Building and; 4) a 4,000 square foot future freezer(phase two). <br /> The development of a butchering facility on agriculturally zoned land is an expectable and <br /> allowable use for agricultural zoned properties. The Sari Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation <br /> encourages this type of facility because of its beneficial use toward agriculture. <br /> The San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation strongly supports this use permit application. <br /> Due to a previously scheduled event, I am unable to attend this meeting.
