The concentrations of nitrate as N did not exceed the associated MCL ( 10 mg/1) in any <br /> of the samples collected from locations S1A, S- 1 , S-2, S-4, and the Duarte runoff. The <br /> concentrations of nitrate as N exceeded the MCL in 1 of the 3 samples collected from location <br /> D-1 during the fourth quarter, with a reported Nitrate as N concentration of 18 mg/l . The <br /> maximum concentration of ammonia as N detected in in any of the surface water samples <br /> collected from the site during the quarter is 1 . 0 mg/1 . The Water Quality Goals for Ammonia as <br /> N , including the Suggested No Adverse Response Level of 30 mg/I and the Taste and Odor <br /> Threshold of 1 .5 mg/l were not exceeded in any of the surface water samples collected from <br /> the site during the quarter. For details regarding the analytical results please refer to the <br /> summary in Table 5 and the laboratory data sheets in Appendix C . <br /> 5.3 RAINFALL MONITORING <br /> Rainfall has been monitored on the Norman's Nursery site by nursery personnel from October <br /> 2 , 1997 to present. <br /> Precipitation was noted on 33 days during the fourth quarter 2012, for a total of 11 . 95 inches <br /> for the fourth quarter, and 25. 68 inches for 2012. Precipitation totals for each day are listed on <br /> the attached Table 2 and are graphed on Chart 2 .
