According to the EDR report, the facility did not require <br /> action from the Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC). According to the EDR report, <br /> the facility was documented on August 19, 1982 for using waste oil to control weeds. Due to the <br /> distance from the site and the length of time that has passed since the violation occurred, <br /> Froelinger Machine and Tool Company is not expected to pose an adverse impact to the site. <br /> Beaver Chemical Company. Incorporated, located approximately 3,500 feet northwest of the site <br /> ` appears on the Cal-sites database. According to the EDR report, the facility does not require <br /> DTSC action and was referred to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) on <br /> August 29, 1994. No further information is given. Due to its distance from the site, Beaver <br /> Chemical Company, Incorporated is not expected to pose an adverse impact to the site. <br /> P&L Cleaners, located approximately 4,000 feet west of the site, appears on the Cal-Sites <br /> database. According to the EDR <br /> report, the release was discovered on February 8, 1989. The material released was reported as <br /> regular gasoline. The EDR report also states that a Preliminary Site Assessment workplan has <br /> been submitted and that the aquifer has been affected. Due to its proximity to the site, Franklin <br /> High School may pose an adverse impact to groundwater beneath the site. <br /> Econo # 05748, located approximately 1,000 feet south-southeast of the site appears on the <br /> V LUST and CORTESE database due to a leaking underground storage tank. According to the <br /> EDR report the leak was discovered on June 10, 1988 during closure of the tank. Released <br /> material was reported as gasoline. According to the EDR report the aquifer was affected but the <br /> 6. incident was signed off by a concurrence letter from the Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) dated May 29, 1997. Based on the closure letter submitted by RWQCB, Econo # <br /> 05748 is not expected to pose an adverse impact to the site. <br /> Carnation/Nestle, located approximately 1,800 feet north-northwest of the site, appears on the <br /> LUST and CORTESE databases due to a leaking underground storage tank. According to the <br /> EDR report, the released material is hydrocarbons, and the leak only affected the site soil. The <br /> incident was signed off on July 18, 1996 by the RWQCB. Based on the closure letter submitted <br /> by RWQCB, Carnation/Nestle is not expected to pose an adverse impact to the site. <br /> Grenwal's, located approximately 2,000 feet north-northwest of the site appears on the LUST <br /> and CORTESE databases due to a leaking underground storage tank. According to the EDR <br /> report, the leak was discovered on July 27, 1998 during tank closure. Released material was <br /> reported as gasoline.
