Additional file reviews were conducted at state agencies including the
DTSC, CVRWQCB, and SWRCB. The results of these files reviews are discussed in the
following sections.
Former Shell Central Valley Crude Oil Pipelines
This facility was an 8,400-foot lineal section of a crude oil pipeline that trended northwest to
southeast from % mile west of the subject property, across West Grant Line Road, and southeast
to Mountain House Parkway(formerly Patterson Pass Road). According to a report (Project 70-
03759.00) submitted to the CVRWQCB by Clayton Group Services on August 6, 2004, the
pipeline consisted of two pipes: one 8.5-inch and one 10-inch diameter pipes that were made
inactive during the 1960s but were not removed from the ground. Clayton Group Services was
contracted by Shell Oil Products US to locate and remove the former crude oil pipeline. Clayton
Group Services was also responsible for delineation and removal of any contamination from the
former crude oil pipeline. Upon removal of the former crude oil pipeline and contaminated soils
in July 2005, sampling of soil and groundwater was performed in the excavated area of the
former crude oil pipeline. Clayton Group Services determined in their report to CVRWQCB,
dated November 18, 2005, that contamination from crude oil petroleum products, such as
gasoline and diesel (TPH), was delineated to non-detectable levels within 25 feet of the location
INK
WALLACE•KUHL
I,,, " k,k, 6 ASSOCIATES INC.
