See Chapter 9-839 of County <br /> Development title. <br /> 3.3.6 Second Unit Dwellings <br /> y 3.3.6.1 Master Plan Summary <br /> The Master Plan encourages second unit dwellings in order to increase the diversity and affordability of <br /> housing opportunities for residents.For each residential subdivision within the R-VL,R-L and R-M zoning <br /> bw <br /> districts, second unit dwellings shall be required on 6.5 percent of the parcels. <br /> L 3.3.6.2 Specific Plan III Description <br /> In order to increase the amount of second unit dwellings which can facilitate affordable housing, the amount <br /> i <br /> 6. of second unit dwellings has been increased.A total of 10%of all units constructed within the R-VL,R-L and <br /> R-M zoning districts shall include a second unit. A total of 197 second units is projected within Specific <br /> Plan III. The location of second units designated on the Tentative Map Second Unit Plan may be moved as <br /> long as all replacement locations are within the Specific Plan III project area. <br /> L <br /> 3.3.63 Implementation Measures <br /> ` a. Design of second unit dwellings shall reinforce the character of the neighborhoods targeted to include <br /> second units. Architectural treatment, scale and massing of second units shall be in keeping with the <br /> L primary residence and surrounding buildings and be subject to review by the Design Consistency Review <br /> Committee(DCRC).The size and development requirements for second units are set forth in Chapter 9- <br /> 830M of the Development title. <br /> b. Tentative Map applications in Residential-Very Low,Low, and Medium zones shall identify the parcels <br /> or lots designated for second unit dwellings on an attached second unit plan.
