Harlan Road,French Camp The San Joaquin County Development Title Requirements listed below have been identified as pertinent to this project. Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be modified. A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study incorporating proposed staff and customer use,indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permit(s) (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required,and a review fee of$475.00 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$95.00 per percolation hole is required. B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP)and nitrates prior to issuance of building permits(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- 1115.7). NOTE: Due to high nitrate levels in drinking water in the area,high groundwater,and fast percolating soils, EHD may require a package treatment plant or civil engineer designed septic system with denitrification cycle in the system based upon the Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study findings. C. Construction of individual sewage-disposal-system(s)under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1110.3 &9-1110.4). OR Submit plans for a sewage treatment plant(for the entire development)to the Environmental Health Department for approval. A Registered Engineer must design and sign the plans(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2).
