Thelma E. Hieb Revocable Trust Page 3
Our Project Number: E07202B
December 20, 2007
3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
@ After file review at the EHD, the septic systems in the vicinity appear to utilize leach lines and
seepage pits.
3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
After file review at the EHD, the septic system repairs in the vicinity appear to be for the
addition of leach lines and seepage pits.
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected usage on each proposed parcel would be for a primary residence and
second dwelling unit. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater
_. Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for
the soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of
sources which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, Z7_ >
septic systems, and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems
in the area should be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
4.3 Water Sample Location
There is one (1) agricultural well and one (1) domestic well on the Site. Two (2) permits were
found during file review at EHD on December 12, 2007.
One water sample was taken on December 12, 2007 by Jessen Welch from the spigot of the on-
site domestic well, near the existing residence. The water sample was analyzed for nitrate and
DBCP. The analytical reports prepared by FGL Environmental are still pending and will be (Zr"`9
submitted in a separate letter when they are available.
4.4 Chain of Custody
Ls
The Chain of Custody document has been included in the appendix of this report.
5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION (7
The site is depicted on the California Geologic Survey of the San Francisco-San Jose Quadrangle
as within the Quaternary Modesto Formation (Qm). This unit consists of arkosic alluvium
forming Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial fan, chiefly sand with minor gravel, and silt is
probably glacial outwash (Plate 5).
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 ©2007 Neil O.Anderson&Associates.Inc
