V-— 1 1999
San Joaquin County Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Attention: Kerry Sullivan
RE: 400 Adult Harney Lane Farm Labor Camp
To Whom It May Concern:
I am against Mr. Rios' proposed Hamey Lane Farm Labor Camp_ While there
are many environmental, economic and social issues not yet resolves! I believe
there is another issue of importance. The issue is that Mr. Rios and his
Associates will not be trustworthy neighbors. I think this was demonstrated prior
to the Board of Supervisors meeting in 1998 where Mr. Rios and his employees
intimidated and tried to physically keep residents of the community from gaining
entrance to the Board Meeting.
A public meeting held in a public building should be open to all; this is the
American way. A person or group should not "trounce" on another in order to
achieve their goal.
For these reasons I feel it would be impossible to negotiate and solve problems
that may arise as this facility is being built and/or operated. Therefore, it is my
personal opinion that this proposal should be dropped once and for all.
Respectfully, p
Dolph Patron
13151 E. Harney Lane
Lodi, California 95240
(209) 369383
