Technical Description
Technical Services
Croup,Inc.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Nitro-Raptor® Intermittent-Cycle, Extended-Aeration System (ICEAS)
The Nitro-Raptor ICEAS system is a complete-mix,complete-oxidation, modified-batch
process for the treatment of domestic wastewater and sewage to meet
California Title 22 standards for unrestricted irrigation and recreation water reclamation.
by
Lloyd D. Hadentand,Sr,et at
NOTE: 7H Technical Services Group, Inc. Has developed modifications to the basic
Bio-Pure system. All patents, trademark registration, processes, technologies, and techni-
cal data are considered proprietary by 7H and 7H restricts their use except where written
permission is granted. 7H has changed the name to reflect the modifications 7H has in-
corporated and is further, naming our new product as "Nitro-Raptor " (ICEAS).
While this technical description is in considerable detail, 7-H considers the detail to be
necessary to adequately depict the capability, reliability and effectiveness to provide
wastewater treatment for onsite "clustered" developments, "Decentralized Wastewater
Treatment". . And, in particular, the effectiveness of removing total nitrogen, prior to
disposal, to preclude the elevation of Nitrates in the ground water.
A 3,000-gpd, the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) has originally tested the secondary-level
treatment Bio-Pure system. The complete test report, with letter of certification, is available from
7H upon request. The testing procedure used was NSF-C-9. NSF's Standard 40 was not used, as
it is limited to systems of less than 1,500-gpd flows.
The biological processes within Nitro-Raptor systems regardless of size are the same. Over the
years, improvements have been incorporated to take advantage of state-of-the-art equipment de-
velopment. This is particularly the case in the area of process control through the use of 7-11's
TC2K Computerized Monitoring and Control System and final water polishing, and to incorpo-
rate additional enhancements to the system's ability to consistently produce high-quality output
systems while still requiring minimal operator skills and low maintenance. Low maintenance is
of prime importance, as the Nitro-Raptor systems are essentially designed for unmanned opera-
tion in remote locations.
In order to provide continuity to this description, it is necessary to review some basic biology
physics as applied to the treatment of wastewater and particularly domestic sewage.
ACTIVATED SLUDGE
ge is a biological process, biology did not influence treatment system de-
Although activated sludsign or operation until the past few decades.
