LONE OAK VINEYARDS
Page No. 3
which is well below the Maximum Contaminate Level(MCL)of 45 mg/1. A copy of the test results
are included in the Appendix.
VI. SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
A test hole was excavated to a depth of 25 feet in the area of the proposed home site in order
to determine the soil profile in the general area. For approximate location of the test hole (PT) see
the Parcel Map,Plate No.1. The soil profile hole was logged by an engineer and a description of the
soils encountered in the holes is contained on the Log of Boring Sheet, Plate No.2.in the Appendix.
A shallow, 36" deep, percolation test was performed at the test hole location. A 4.5 inch
diameter hole was excavated and 2 inches of gravel was placed in the bottom of the hole. A two inch
diameter perforated pipes was then placed and backfilled with gravel. The test hole was filled with
water 24 hours prior to running the test. The last half hour of the test readings were witnessed by
a county health official and the test data obtained is enclosed in the Appendix. The percolation rate
has been adjusted to account for the gravel and pipe backfill. Calculations for this adjustment is on
the test data sheet.
PERCOLATION RESULTS
Test No. Dia. Of Hole, in. Depth of Hole, in. Pere. However, due to the rolling terrain,
the depth and location of strata encountered in our test boring could change depending on the
location of the disposal field. If the proposed septic system is not in the area of our test boring an
additional boring should be performed in order to verify the soils are as anticipated and designed for
the subject development. Any proposed system should be properly designed and installed according
to current San Joaquin County criteria.
v OERS
D '^
z, W
Q ~
gSS0G♦
P
