CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, the soil conditions near each percolation test appear to be suitable for use
with a standard septic system. Satisfactory soil percolation rates ranging from less than
2.6 to 27.8 minutes per inch were observed for each of the 10 parcels tested. No new
construction is proposed. With a satisfactory test, the area 100 feet in radius from the /
test location could be used to construct a septic system drain field.
The depth of ground water based on recent aquifer levels is approximately 175 to 225
feet below the ground surface, depending on the season and location on the Site. It
appears that ground water flows down to the west in the vicinity of the Site at a rate of
approximately nine feet per mile.
A sample of water from the southern of the two irrigation wells on the Site was tested for
nitrate and DBCP. Nitrate was detected at 3.9 mg/L-NO3, well below the US EPA's
Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 45 mg/L-NO3 DBCP was not detected in the
sample.
We believe the Site suitable for development with the use of standard septic systems
utilizing leach lines and seepage pits.
LOGE 1217 Page 11
